Corey's Story

During any given weekday, you can find Corey Craig in the Radiology Department at NewYork-Presbyterian/Columbia University Irving Medical Center, where he has worked for over 10 years. In his job as a nuclear pharmacist, Corey works with radioactive medicine and administers injections or tracers to patients to help doctors diagnose, and ultimately treat, cancer and other conditions.

But in his free time, Corey provides what he believes to be another type of “medicine.”

After work, Corey trades his scrubs for turntables and shares his love of music with listeners from all over the country. Corey also performs at LGBTQ (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer or questioning) Pride events in Los Angeles, San Diego, Atlanta, and other cities, and he is known by many as a "Pride DJ."

In honor of Pride Month, read more about Corey and his community commitment in a 2018 Health Matters interview. And be sure to look for Corey at the 2019 New York City Pride Festival—which NewYork-Presbyterian is pleased to sponsor!
