Thank you for visiting my fundraising page and for your interest in supporting the Pediatric Advanced Care Team (PACT) at Weill Cornell Medicine / NewYork-Presbyterian Komansky Children's Hospital.

On November 5th, I am running my second marathon with the goal of raising as much money as possible for PACT -- a program I restarted in 2021 that delivers critical palliative care services to seriously ill children and their families at the most needed times.

What is the Pediatric Advanced Care Team (PACT)?

The Pediatric Advanced Care Team (PACT) is a full-spectrum inpatient pediatric palliative care consultation service with the vision of helping children and their families live their fullest lives by relieving all physical, emotional, social, spiritual, and existential suffering associated with serious illness.

The team currently includes 2 physicians, a dedicated pediatric nurse practitioner, and a pediatric chaplain -- together with our social work, child life therapy, art/music therapy and mental health colleagues, we embrace the mission of delivering outstanding, empathetic, and evidence-based interdisciplinary pediatric palliative care to our seriously ill patients and their families. We care for a child along the entire trajectory of a medical illness: from navigating the uncertainties at time of diagnosis, to managing the last moments of life with comfort and dignity.

We work closely with medical teams and families to ensure that the medical care delivered to children is in line with families' goals and values. We also partner with local hospice organizations to assist in seamless transitions home in children who qualify for home hospice services.
