Why I'm Fundraising for Team NYP
I'd like to invite you to contribute to my fundraising campaign for NewYork-Presbyterian! 100% of your donation supports NewYork-Presbyterian's Greatest Need. While my list of reasons for running for team NYP is quite long, there are two reasons that I'd like to highlight in particular: determination and gratitude.
The unfortunate reality many of us share is that we've lost friends and family to cancer. After years of fighting, I lost both of my grandmothers, Mamie and Gramsy, to cancer within a few years of each other. Both of these women were tenacious and one-of-a-kind. They taught me how to be resilient, always with a sense of humor and grit, even during the most challenging times. Watching them fight and ultimately lose their cancer battles instilled in me a sense of determination. Determination for access to early cancer detection for all, determination to fund life-saving research, and ultimately, determination to lose less people to cancer. NYP is committed to all of the above, and with your generous support, we can make this determination a reality.
My second motivator for running for team NYP is gratitude. A few months ago, I joined NewYork-Presbyterian in the Office of Development. Every day, I support our team with raising critical funds for NYP. These funds help make it possible for NYP to continue being a leader in medical education, groundbreaking research, and innovative, patient-centered care. I'm grateful every day to wake up and do this work, grateful for the support you all provide, and grateful for the opportunity to run for team NYP.
All gifts, no matter how big or small, will make a huge difference. Let's Stay Amazing!
